"Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no
money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and
without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what
does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will
delight in the richest of fare." Isaiah 55:1-2Well, I know it isn't Monday, but I felt like posting anyway! I guess you get a "two-for" this week, thanks to the Almighty God and his really great Word.
I'm so glad that salvation is FREE, aren't you?? Especially in this economy ;) I love this verse because God is telling us where to find a really great "bargain". He offers us something for nothing, which is VERY difficult to find this day in age. It sure is exasperating sometimes to think about all the necessities we need and how little our paychecks are compared to all our wants. How awesome is a God who invites us to come, eat and drink of his love for free.
I have a friend who has started this really cool blog after my own heart, in the love of freebies. Visit http://queenoffree.blogspot.com/ if you enjoy receiving samples and goodies for free. She always has cool tips on stretching the dollar as a woman. Just a little fun post for you today!

Thanks for the post Ariel! :) The Queen sees all things. ;) I'll have to add your blog to my list.
We went home this weekend and attended Campus House, like the good ol' days. We had an interesting conversation with Pastor Rob there - we'd been back at the beginning of August, and he was pretty run-down when we saw him. He confessed he had been worn out and really questioning and doubting himself - that he felt like he had bombed the sermon and wasted his time leading up to it, or something to that effect. Then he said that after that sermon, he said he got bunches and bunches of emails saying that his "bombed" sermon really spoke to them, and they wanted to know more about it. Rob said that the lesson was: God doesn't need you to be 'on your game' - he can use you if you are willing. He said it was humbling and confirming at the same time, and this little chat really spoke to me, so I thought I'd share :).
Here's the next edition of the Acts study: Acts 2:1-12. I haven't listed to it yet, but I'll try to do it tomorrow and perhaps post again. Enjoy!
